Kamikaze Events recognises the importance of protecting your privacy and your right to keep your personal information private. In the course of our events and activities we use the information we collect about you to process payments, issue tickets or admission passes, to send you information and to provide a more personalised service.

What information we collect

The kind of information we generally collect and hold about a person is their name, email address, postal address and other contact details. Information relevant to your relationship with us may also be collected, such as transaction details, indicated seating and event type preferences and details of donations and other support provided to the organisation.

Collection of Personal information

Kamikaze Events will collect information directly, or via third party ticket sellers or service provider acting on Kamikaze Events’ behalf, from the individual when they purchase tickets, subscribe, register as an exhibitor or vendor, join our mailing lists or a payment online (including merchandise sales).

When you sign up for the mailing list we ask you to provide your email address only. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter or be taken off our general mailing database at any time by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter or letting us know via the Contact page.

Kamikaze Events’ tickets (or passes) are sold via an independent proprietary platform. Kamikaze Events may collect purchaser information from all transactions and interactions (incomplete transitions). The usage of this information is outlined below.

Usage

Kamikaze Events may use information that we collect to provide our customer, patrons and interested parties with information that they may find useful. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Special Offers
  • News Updates
  • Information from our Event Partners, Supporters, and Sponsors

Kamikaze Events will only use personal information in the promotion of events, products and services that we consider likely to be of interest to our customers, patrons and interested parties.

Storage

Information collected is stored electronically and secured on a server accessible only by password. Information is only accessible to Kamikaze Events staff and approved IT service providers. Kamikaze Events through it’s normal conduct of operations may store information it collects on servers located outside Australian jurisdiction, including servers hosted by approved IT service providers overseas. Kamikaze Events takes all reasonable steps to ensure the security of personal data we hold from risks such as loss or unauthorised access, destruction, use, modification or disclosure of data.

Disclosure

Kamikaze Events understands the importance of keeping your information private, and only discloses your personal information to third parties in certain circumstances.

  • Service providers that assist with certain functions, events and activities, in which case we impose appropriate privacy obligations on the service provider (e.g. we may use mailing houses to send information and materials to you)
  • Government and regulatory authorities and other organisations, as required or authorised by law
  • A service provider for the purpose of sending you information from our sponsors, supporters, and event partners
  • Market research company for the purpose of understanding our market
